Jenny Worringer
Scientist
Ms. Jenny Worringer is a molecular biologist with over a decade of experience in the quality control and assurance of pharmaceutical drug products. She provides the leadership and knowledge required to build and maintain cGMP regulatory compliance programs, and advocates for maintaining the highest level of inspection readiness at all times. She cultivates quality based systems and procedures throughout her cannabis industry applications, applying her experience to support the controlled production of safe, high-quality medicine for the community. Using her expertise, she opened the Green Sea Group to provide pre and post-licensing quality based consulting services, and has advised multiple Alternative Treatment Center applications in the state of New Jersey for experienced multi-state operators; she has recently expanded her services across the US and internationally. Currently, Ms. Worringer serves as a member of the ASTM D37 Committee on Cannabis as a contributing and voting member.
Jackie Cornell
Chief of Policy and Health Innovations 1906
Jackie Cornell joins 1906 as Chief of Policy and Health Innovations after a successful career in public health and social justice advocacy. Most recently, she held the position of Principal Deputy Commissioner for New Jersey’s Department of Health. In her role overseeing Public Health Services, she pushed forward policies and programs to serve New Jersey’s most vulnerable citizens, leading on issues ranging from tackling the alarming rate of black infant mortality, ending the HIV epidemic by 2025, and expanding access and affordability of medical marijuana.
Under President Barack Obama, she was regional director of the US Department of Health and Human Services, covering NY, NJ, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Cornell also worked for New Jersey Policy Perspective and the New Jersey Hospital Association. Passionate about leadership development, Cornell founded the New Jersey chapter of the New Leaders Council. She began her career as a peer-to-peer health educator at Planned Parenthood.
Cornell is a New Jersey native and a proud alumna of Rutgers University and The College of New Jersey, where she has been an adjunct professor teaching courses on gender, public policy and advocacy.
The single mom of a soon-to-be first grade son, Cornell collects books, passport stamps, and tattoos.
Jessica Gonzalez
Partner at Moyeno Gonzalez
In her current role as Partner at Moyeno Gonzalez, Jessica assists cannabis clients navigate the legal cannabis industry in both New Jersey and New York. She, along with her partner counsels start-up and medium-sized cannabis/hemp companies on various matters, including corporate entity set-up, state and local compliance, private offering documents and applications for state cannabis licenses. She also counsels corporate and individual clients on IP procurement, prosecution, protection, and enforcement for domestic trademarks. As a cannabis advocate, Jessica has presented on numerous topics including cannabis branding, social justice/social equity, cannabis startups and state cannabis licensing in both New York & New Jersey. She has also spoken and presented at numerous local town meetings in New Jersey educating elected officials on cannabis legislation. Jessica currently serves as the Associate Director for Latinx Outreach for the national organization Minorities For Medical Marijuana.
Prior to founding her own law firm, Jessica worked as an associate in the intellectual property and cannabis law group of a prominent regional law firm where she managed the firm’s domestic and international trademark portfolio for some of the largest music instrument companies in the world. Jessica has successfully obtained federal trademark registration for her clients and has successfully overcome office action refusals from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Jessica also provided litigation support for IP disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board and successfully settled trademark infringement disputes. In addition to her IP practice, part of Jessica’s practice focused on federal and state labor and employment issues, including advising municipalities on state and federal cannabis regulations.
